The Running!!!

Well as you hopefully know my parents came up this weekend. My mom is still here actually having a good old time.

This week my dad and I went on some great runs. The first was on Friday and it was on a trail right next to the road that the St. George Marathon is on. The trail was tough with lots of uphill and downhill sections. I ran at a slow pace because I am still trying to get in shape. it was tough!!! My dad ran like a champ and stayed with me for a little bit and then took off and was never to be seen again. Until I saw him on the side of the trail in the BMW. We ran 13.6 miles on Friday.

We rested on Sunday as we should. My dad wanted to run, but I said "no, we keep the sabbath day holy."

On Monday after my first day of work it was back on the running road again. This time we had Cassie and my mom drop us off on the marathon course or road that the the marathon is ran on. We clocked it in the car so that we would be dropped off 13.2 miles up the road. This day was tough. I really did run at a gingerly pace. My dad ran with me the whole way because it was tough running over 26 miles in 3 days.

We are both hurting after the 2 runs, but we have to get back on the road running to continue to get faster and better.

By the way running is the only form of exercise.

MARATHON TRAINING

Well, my marathon training finally started on Wednesday the 20th. I ran four miles in the morning and four miles in the evening. I felt ok on my first run, but on my evening run I jogged very gingerly. Why? Because my body hurt. This is going to be really tough. It is going to be even tougher because my father is running like a mad man. I have to beat him or I will never hear the end of it, he is like 80 and just about crippled. If he beats me my running career will end. I have to go running today, even though I hurt. Just play through the pain, thats what Tim Kempton told me one cool day. I will also start some light weight training to help my body get in better shape.

Now what I am going to do is update my great family on my training. That is both sides, even Cassie's, she gets mad sometimes because I focus on my family too much. By the way Heber, next time we play golf I am challenging you and getting in your head!!!

Here are my pictures, sorry if they are revealing, but we need to see the great improvements my body makes during my training. Also, I would like you to make comments on what you see wrong with my body and where I need to improve.

I think of myself like Will Ferrell and am very comforatable in speedo's as you can see Will and I have very nice bodies.

Now there is an attractive man!!!!!

Maybe this blog will also inspire my other brothers to get off of the couch. I don't know they like the TV. Bryan loves VeggieTales, Tim loves MTV, and Randy loves ElimiDate. It will be hard for my brothers to stop watching those great shows that they love.

The Twins are still doing great and I am unemployed. Yes!!!! I sit on my butt all day. Oh yeah I do start a new job on Monday at St. George Care and Rehab. That is where my Dad will be staying at after the Marathon.

Cassie is still as beautiful as she always is, sometimes I look in the mirror and think to myself why can't I look as beautiful as my Wife. Wow I am a lucky man. And then I also think she had to settle for me, why is that? Look at the pictures above and that will show ya. I am a little chubby. Thats what they call me at work oh wait I am unemployed, so I must call myself that.

This day is BANANAS........B A N A N A S!!!!! Thats what she said!!!!!!

Peace Out till next time. Love ya!!!!!

JENNY HERE IS YOUR FUNNY POST

These are brothers Randy and Tim. Click on the pictures for a better look.

Jenny Randy's wife asked me to put on a funny post so she can read it, while he plays basketball. Randy play basketball or Tim??? I saw a five year girl who can play better than them. Randy does have a sweet shot though, I have to admit. Tim does have a nice little drive.

Now I have a couple questions that I would love people to respond to.

1. Would you run if you saw Randy or Tim with their his shirts off?

2. Would you ask Randy or Tim to put their shirts back on?

3. Would you just leave when you saw one of my brothers with no shirt on?

Those are the questions. Randy and Tim you are an awesome brothers, but Jenny wanted a funny post and this is all I could come up with. Sorry!!!! Daniels Running!!!!

Then there is me, what would you say to me???

Shock is FINALLY wearing off

Well, it has been over a week, and the shock of having twins is finally starting to wear off. It took a while, but we are finally adjusting to the idea. We have started to clean out the guest room to make room for not one, but two cribs. Thus the guest room gets moved to the den. Where will the den be going..... that is still up to debate.

I am starting to show, and having a hard time hiding the fact that I am pregnant anymore. But, for having twins, I would say I don't look that bad. Haven't had to break out to many of the maternity clothes.

We are excited to have these two boys come into our home. For the first few days after we found out though, "SHOCK" was an understatement. We found relief in taking a retreat up to my family cabin in Hatch, UT. We would just be sitting around doing nothing, and then David would start to chuckle, I would look at him, and I would start to laugh... mixed with a few tears of course. All we could say is, "we are having twins." I think we found the best way of copping with it for those few days was to just joke and laugh about it.

Anyway, we are excited, and having fun preparing for these guys. Thanks for all your support!
