Victoria, Canada

Last stop....Victoria, Canada. We were planning to spend out time with my boss, Wendy and some other friends. When we got off the boat, there was a line for a cab...so Wendy was so kind to just get us a limo for a few hours of touring. It was so awesome.

TERRY FOX
This is a statue of Terry Fox. This description of him is taken word for word from Wikipedia:

Terrance Stanley "Terry" Fox CC OD, (July 28, 1958 – June 28, 1981) was a Canadian humanitarian, athlete, and cancer research activist. In 1980, with one leg having been amputated, he embarked on a cross-Canada run to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Although the spread of his cancer eventually forced him to end his quest after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres (3,339 mi), and ultimately cost him his life, his efforts resulted in a lasting, worldwide legacy. The annual Terry Fox Run, first held in 1981, has grown to involve millions of participants in over 60 countries and is now the world's largest one-day fundraiser for cancer research; over C$500 million has been raised in his name.

We thought this was a super cool story, so we had to take a picture.

BEACON HILL PARK

This was a beautiful park that had great landscaping. There were peacocks running around. I tried to spook them to see if they would open up for us, but had no success. This was just a pretty place to stop.

WORLD'S TALLEST TOTEM POLE

VIEW OF THE CITY
We tried to make it in time for the sunset, but we didn't, because I had to stop and take a picture with the totem pole! But it was still a great view.

SOME COLLEGE
The cool thing about this college was that there were seriously HUNDREDS of wild bunnies hopping around. I don't know that you can see them in this picture, and of course, these were more photos that were lost. Hopefully I will try to get some from my boss who maybe took some.

CRAIGDARROCH CASTLE
AKA...My future home

It was dark, so it is very hard to see its beauty. But I have never seen a castle, so my group was kind enough to humor my desire to see it.

PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS

THE EMPRESS HOTEL

I guess this is a pretty big or well known hotel????
